LO2 Sketches for Shoot

LO2 Planning a Photographic Shoot Pitch

These are slides from a pitch I did on planning my photographic shoot. The pictures in the background of each slide are some of my tester shots.

The feedback I got from this pitch was largely really good - the things I was told I should do next were:
-make an original risk assessment for the locations in which I would be taking photos.
-mention how I would use aperture, shutter speed and depth-of-field in my pitch.

I have now completed these tasks.

LO2 Tester Shots / Shoot #1

On Sunday 22nd November 2015 I took these "tester shots" around the Peak District, in these five locations:
-Mam Tor
-Winnats Pass
-Buxton (Peveril Gardens)
-Long Hill
-Goyt Reservoir
-Combs Reservoir

Below are 71 photos that I took. I feel I could pick the photographs for my final piece for the Millennium Gallery from these; I treated my "tester shots" more like the full shoot and I feel like they are really high quality and good enough for that.

The main techniques that I used in these photographs were:
-Macro
-Centre of interest
-Rule of thirds
-Leading lines
-Depth-of-field (deep and shallow)
-Framing

I also manually adjusted aperture and shutter speed for some of them in order to capture different depth-of-fields and lighting levels.

My treatment can be seen for more information on why I wanted to use the above techniques.

Since I am going for a look of "natural beauty", I am unsure if I want to edit the photographs as I want them to retain their natural quality and be unaffected by an editing program.
